Copper Harbor Lighthouse Tour
Leaving Manitou Island, we travel back to the relative safety of the north side of the Keweenaw Peninsula. We make our way southwest along the shoreline and spot some houses as we come upon Copper Harbor. Then the lighthouse tower comes into view. As we loop around the point, we get our first full view of the Copper Harbor Lighthouse. It is a beautiful sight, and we all wonder how many sailors seeking refuge from storms thought the same. The Keweenaw Star navigates its way into the harbor, and we spot lots of activity in the tourist town. Kayaking in the harbor, fishing from the shoreline, and people taking tours of the lighthouse and boaters.
