Falls Colors in the Sturgeon River Gorge

One of the more beautiful regions of the Ottawa National Forest with waterfalls, old-growth, rapids, and plenty of hiking. The Sturgeon River Gorge is a great place to explore fall covers due to the scenic ridgeline views. Just south of L’Anse it is a great rest point heading towards the Porcupine Mountains. The gorge offers plenty of up-close experiences to beautiful waterfalls and rapids. The colors burst around the rapids for those great postcard photos.
