Mendota Lighthouse
The first really “long haul” of the journey comes. Yet, the stunning views of Lake Superior and the eastern shoreline along the Keweenaw are breathtaking. We coast along and take in the beautiful beach sands of Rabbit Bay, the enormity of Superior Grand Traverse Bay. We spot the old Air Force Station atop Mount Greely until we finally spot Mount Bohemia in the distance. As the boat comes into Bete Grise Bay we see the treasure of the Mendota Lighthouse in Lac La Belle, MI.
