Rustic and Remote Sandy Pebbles Golf Course
When you start your round of golf by paying in a “coffee can” in a remote part of the Copper Country without anyone around (i.e., including staff which is the reason for the coffee can), and a 150-yard par 3 opening hole – then Sandy Pebbles is for you. Located in Ahmeek, MI, this 9 hole course opened in 2002 and measures 2793 yards. Playing this course is more about the experience than getting out for a “fine-tuned” round of serious golf. Prepare for a rustic course, beautiful woods, and treasures that will make you smile.
Course Review for Sandy Pebbles Golf Course
The first hole starts as a 150-yard par 3 into a small flat green. Par should be easy with a well-placed shot.
The second hole is a par 4 with a 90-degree dogleg right. Tee off with an iron to make the turn; otherwise, the woods will be your friend.
The third hole is a long par 5 with a big oak guarding the middle of the fairway. The hole is long but plays flat and straightforward.
The fourth and fifth holes are both short par 4 under 300 yards. Small greens and some tricky shots make this no guarantee par holes.
The sixth and seventh holes have some dog legs but are also short par 4 holes.
The eighth hole is a 181-yard par 3 with a small green.
The final homecoming back to the clubhouse is a long par 5 at 550 yards. It’s all flat fairway with some woods to deal with but well-placed shots and par should be easy.
