Gift of Wisdom
Permanent
capacity to receive the light of Jesus' wisdom, so that we can use it
to make acts of, and develop habits of, supernatural wisdom. They
enable us to see where we have come from, where we are going in God's
plan, and how to get there; and how to discern the potential, the
means, and the opportunities which God gives us to achieve our destiny.
Virtue of Prudence
Permanent
capacity to receive Jesus' power of prudence, so that we can use it to
make acts of, and develop habits of, supernatural prudence. These acts
and habits enable us to set and prioritize goals for implementing God's
plan for us, and to plan or choose projects and programs which help us
achieve these goals.
Capital Sin: Pride (Self-Worship)
Produces
false self-image and delusions, refusals to serve God. Addicts us to
lying, empty boasting, possessing power over others and dominating
them, and doing whatever we please as perverse substitutes for true
wisdom and prudence.
